Set on the seven hills the city is dotted by historic sites from stone age, Greek, Roman, Byzantine and Islamic eras. Referred as Rabbath-Ammon by the Old Testament it was a capital of Ammonites during the Iron Age. Rebuild during Hellenic and Roman times was renamed to Philadelphia. Dominated by Roman Theatre that can take 6000 spectators and the Citadel. The city has lots of beautiful Christian Churches and Mosques build in harmony one next to another. I have spend the whole day just walking around and taking pics. The next day we have done a tour with our guide and we found out how much history is here.
