Mt. Nebo was named as the Christian Holly Place. This is the location of Siyagha, where Moses is presumed to have died and been buried. The small church was build here by early Christians in as early as 393 AD. Inside the most notable is a cross, which marked the spot where the death of Moses was commemorated. The bronze memorial of a snake on the cross symbolizes the serpent lifted up Moses in the desert, and crucifixion of Jesus.
